All That Talking…

My Very Own Documentary

Sony Ericsson Theme

I was bored for the past two days. Don’t know what to do and don’t know where to go. So I decided to kill time by surfing the web. Suddenly something struck my mind, let’s create phone themes.

If you want to create phone themes (this apply only for Sony Ericsson’s models) with your own pictures, you will need to download the software.

https://developer.sonyericsson.com/site/global/docstools/multimedia/p_multimedia.jsp

The link above will guide you to create your own dream themes. I’ve made 2 so far. So hope you will enjoy making your own theme too.

A picture speaks a thousand words

I was so lucky to have received a call on Saturday (02 Aug), for a free make-over and photoshoot.

Took advantage of the call and went down for the makeover. Sad part, after all that photos taken, I am allowed only to take home 2 photos home for free. Wish I had the money to pay for the balance photos to bring home. :(

Something I learnt from my make-over experience. You get more attention with a good picture and proper make-up. Maybe it may be useful even for a job application. :)

Is this creepy or what?

So here it goes after a long time I decide to write again. My personal experience which haunts me for 2 days. I still can’t believe it, but its true, it happened to me.

My office had decided to have a fire prevention presentation and had brought in experts to do a demonstration to teach the staffs on what to do should there be fire. We had a Male presenter to talk about fire and safety issues. At the end of the presentation we were told that we could get fire extinguisher, fire alarms and smoke masks through his company at a cheap price. We gave our names and telephone number so that we will be notified when the items we ordered are coming.

Just our luck, biggest mistake we did was giving our contact numbers. One of my colleague and I started getting lots of sms and calls asking us out on a date from the presenter. Tried very, very hard to reject the guy but nothing much went in his head.

After thinking of many different excuses for two days, finally one had to lie. I don’t remember getting engaged, but that is my lie, I’m going out with my fiance. I thought the battle is over, but NO. He wanted to know about my colleague, so I had to lie on her behalf again and said she is getting married soon. After that rescue sms, I have not heard another “beep” “beep” on my phone. yet. Really hope that its over. If not, it will be police report. :-P

So to all you guys who wants a girl’s number, something to note:

1. A girl gives you her number personally to you, you may call or sms her all you want. But when your job requires that the girl provides her contact details, you do not misuse the information given to you for your personal gain.

2. Do not stalk any woman, she will call the police as her last resort.

3. When a girl tells you NO many, many times, she really mean it. Please listen.

So that’s the end of my post. Go and read something else. ;-)

Beautiful Maldives

After coming back from Maldives on Friday, I am still tired. I would love to attend meetings there again if opportunity is given. A beautiful country where people are just warm and hospitable. I felt like a VIP with the way I was treated there.

If you have ever thought of a peaceful holiday out of Singapore, I recommend Maldives. They have a flight from Singapore to Male’, capital of Maldives every night on Singapore Airlines.

Some of the pictures taken in Maldives below:

  • Nalahiya Hotel  This is taken at Nalahiya Hotel, Male’ where I stayed throughout my trip
  • Water Bungalow  These are the Water Bungalows most honeymoon couples would want to stay in Bandos Resort
  • Softship & MNSL  Warm and hospitable staffs of MNSL (one of the biggest shipping company in Maldives), taken with me and SoftShip team.
  • Sunset Villingili  A beautiful sunset with a sea view at Villingili Island.

You can view more pictures in “My Gallery”.

A New Beginning

Sometimes something happens at the most unexpected time. One moment we will be as timid as a mouse and the next moment we turn out to be a tiger or tigress.

This was what that had happened to me when I was told to provide a shipping system evaluation for MNSL. Lady luck came knocking on the door when the board of directors requested me to do a presentationg regarding my evaluation. After the presentation and vendor chosen, I was offered to fly to Maldives to lead a team of engineers and cosultants in implementing the Software.

Wasn’t that unexpected? Only girl in the team and she is flying to Maldives at a short notice. Wonder what else is coming up next this Monday. ;)

Look at ME

Some of us are just born lucky. We cause many, many pair of eyes to turn around a second time to look at us.

What happens if we are born with some defects? How far would we go to change ourselves to appear perfect to the world? Would you go to the extremes of make over to be accepted by everyone around you?

In a world where image does matters, getting a job or even a date can be difficult if you do not meet the basic looks that they want. Take a look at becoming a flight attandant for instance, you need to be at least 5 feet tall to get a job. They will not employ a short person even if you are pretty or handsome.

In some countries, people would go to the extremes to grow to at least 5 feet (1.524 metres). How do they do it? They have to undergo a surgery called leg-lengthening which is extremely painful and may take up to one year before one can get out of bed and walk properly. Bones will be broken and braces will be attached to legs to increase the height.

Read the article from the link below:

It is just amazing how medical advancements have changed over time. Undergoing such surgeries have now become common for one to enhance appearance and acceptance of people around us.

DanceMela

I was really bored on Friday night and had nothing to do. Decided to finally give a game recommended by a friend a try.

Maybe you may have played this game at an arcade nearby your home. You put in $1 and try to win all the levels in the game. If you lose, you add another $1 and continue playing. What game am I talking about again? Its a dance game. Maybe you may have read the news, years ago when the Japanese invented a cool dancing game where teenagers had to practice all the moves just to advance to the next level.

You can now play this game at the comfort of your home, free of charge. You will be competing with other players from around the world. The catch is, you got to like bollywood songs. :P

This is the link: http://www.dancemela.com

I recommend this game to those of you who likes music and don’t mind trying something new. Good Luck playing. ;) DANCE TILL YOU DROP

The Unseen

How much do we believe in things we cannot see? Sometimes being in a certain place you feel that your hair stands and you get that creepy feeling that someone is behind you. When you turn around, there is nobody. So is it just our imagination or is there really someone or “something” hiding waiting for us to spot them? ;)
